Turkey afraids the Kurdish problem, after Assad

The expected collapse of the Assad regime in Syria requires, necessarily, Turkey to fully adjust its foreign policy in the region, giving priority to the so-called Kurdish affair, writes Kimiklioglou Swat, member of central committee of the ruling party and the Committee Turkish Foreign Affairs.

"The Kurdish problem requires new Turkish approach that recognizes the inevitability of the emergence of a Kurdish political presence in the region" writes Mr. Kimiklioglou today in the newspaper "Zaman".

He continues: "Turkey can not now be facing the Kurdistan with the old strategies."

"Turkey should reconsider its attitude towards the Kurdish element in the region. This requires a new vision for the region and a new reading of Kurdish political history. " And the Turkish political ends. "Bearing in mind the impact it will have on Turkey, the Kurdish issue is likely to dominate the agenda of Turkish foreign policy for years to come."
